12 papers accepted at the international MICCAI 2020 from BASIRA lab including workshops!

BASIRA team members had 12 papers accepted at the world-leading international MICCAI 2020 (https://www.miccai2020.org/en/) main conference and workshops in the field of medical imaging and computer science! We have pioneered different predictive intelligence models with diverse applications to neuroscience and medicine. The majority of the accepted papers designed artificial intelligent systems that allow to predict high-quality missing data from minimal and poor-quality medical acquisitions. Such predictive intelligence can revolutionize the field of medicine as early diagnosis of a patient becomes possible with high accuracy from only limited or poor clinical data. Other works focused on learning the roadmap of the brain connectivity in typical and atypical populations as well as gender fingerprinting.

A round of applause to ITU Faculty of Computer and Informatics Engineering ✰undergraduate✰ students who got their first papers out! The MICCAI paper of her student Alaa Bessadok was also featured in the “Daily MICCAI News” with a joint interview with Dr Rekik: https://www.rsipvision.com/MICCAI2020-Monday/6/
